    What is a Bonded Zone?

    To enhance investment and boost the export sector, the government provides fiscal incentives in customs and taxation within Bonded Warehouses, one of which is the Bonded Zone.

    A Bonded Zone is a bonded storage area for storing imported goods or goods from other parts of the customs territory, for the purpose of processing and assembling them for export.

    The Bonded Warehouse itself refers to a building, place, or area that meets specific requirements used to store, process, exhibit, and sell goods with deferred import duties.

    Requirements for Companies to Become Bonded Zones

    Companies must be in the form of a PT (Limited Liability Company) under PMDN, PMA or Non PMA/PMDN status.

    Must own/control land located in an industrial zone or area designated for industry by the regional government (level II).

    The area must be accessible directly from a public road, reachable by cargo vehicles, not directly connected to other buildings, and have only one main gate for the entry and exit of goods to/from the Bonded Zone.

    The area must be fenced off with a clear boundary separating it from other zones.

    The Bonded Zone must have separate areas for processing, storing raw materials, finished goods, residual items, and damaged/spoiled goods.

    Must provide adequate workspace for Customs officers and a guard post at the main entrance.

    Must have an IT Inventory system and CCTV accessible online.
